Voice Reel

Amy's voice work includes the lead role in the Woman's Hour morning play 'Writing the Century, 8', produced in Manchester for BBC Radio 4. Amy played the role of Hazel, a young Yorkshire woman growing up in post-war Huddersfield. The play was aired in March on Woman's Hour and on the Radio 4 website. Please contact the Actors File if you would like a copy of this.

She has recently recorded an episode of the audio drama re-make of BLAKE'S 7. In 'Blood and Earth' Amy played the role of Cally, alongside Jan chappel who played Cally in the original series. The drama is set for release later on this year.

Her other voice work includes the radio drama 'An Eye For An Eye' and three character voice overs for the independent film 'Something I Prepared Earlier', as well as years of experience in leading stage roles adopting a range of accents to 'native' standard.

Amy's native accent is a soft Yorkshire accent, however she is adept at a wide range of accents.

Renowned dialect coach Charmian Hoare hsa described Amy's American accent as 'perfect'.

Her RP is also perfect, having grown up in Harrogate, an isolated enclave of RP accents in the middle of Yorkshire.

Before her drama training Amy gained a first class BA Hons degree in French at Kings College London, and lived and worked in Paris for a year, so she speaks the langauge fluently and with an authentic accent.

Samples of all this are available on Amy's reel. To request a copy please contact the agency via the 'Contact Us' page. Available in MP3, WAV or CD-rom format.
