Training :Nottingham Next Stage

Isabel was born and bred in South-East London. After completing her degree in English Literature at Nottingham University, she went on to study film-making for a year, trained and taught as a TEFL teacher, sang in various bands and graduated from her acting training in 1996.

Isabel has just finished a tour of Wales (Theatr Clwyd and Cardiff Sherman) in Kindertransport playing the part of Helga, a German Jewish mother forced to send her young daughter to England in 1939.

Recent theatre includes playing Chrissie in REALITY CHOKES, an ex-punk rock chick (directed by Chris Jury staged at PENTAMETERS) and DASHA in the critically acclaimed production of Dostoyevsky's THE DEVILS, at The Union Theatre Southwark, directed by Anne Khazam.

Recent commercials include KWIKFIT, KINGSMILL and the new Tektra advert on Channel 4.

Stage work includes a performance as Joyce, the troubled prostitute, in Joe Orton's THE RUFFIAN ON THE STAIR (Greenwich Playhouse); a troubled single woman in an abusive relationship who turns psycho, as Marg in BRUISED, a one woman show at the Chester Gateway; the very physical and stylised character of Neighbour in SEALSKIN at the Edinburgh Festival 2002; the very versatile and challenging lead in TWO at the Palace Theatre, Mansfield; Rita in EDUCATING RITA (Takeaway Theatre Productions); the innocent Molly, a prostitute and a female mafia type in BRIGHTON ROCK (Hanover Productions); all the women in a national tour of the critically acclaimed piece THE FOOTBALL FACTORY (Brighton Theatre Events); and Nancy Spungeon in PISTOLS, a piece about the Sex Pistols (Brighton Festival/Hanover Productions).

Isabel understudied the part of Cyrenne (the tart with a heart of gold) in RATTLE OF A SIMPLE MAN, directed by John Caird, at the Comedy Theatre, West End, and she also completed a No 1 tour as understudy for the infamous Beverly in ABIGAILS PARTY directed by David Grindley.

Isabel's film experience includes single mother Susan in LUCKY TWENTIE (Short Film); Mother in COME HOME CANDYFLOSS (Short Film) and Kathryn in WAVES.

Radio includes Narrator in JET and Mavis in BACK (both BBC Radio 4)

Isabel regularly works as a role-player in both the public and private sector. She actively works with New writers and writing and is currently co-writing a comedy series.
