Despite his exotic name Pietro is in fact a born and bred Yorkshire man, with a Chilean father. He was born in Bradford and brought up in Huddersfield.

Pietro first discovered his passion for acting during high school when he was cast in a community play at the West Yorkshire Playhouse as the proverbial ‘third spear thrower from the left’. It was during this experience that he realised performing was something he relished and enjoyed more than anything else.

An audition for Forty Years On by Alan Bennett, also at the Playhouse, was successful which saw Pietro playing ‘Tredgold’ the Head of the rugger team. After that he played ‘Steve’ in It shouldn’t happen to a dog by Michael Birch. A piece totally devised by the actors and again at the Playhouse.

After leaving Shelley High School, Pietro went on to do a B-Tec in Performing Arts at Huddersfield where he gained a distinction and a place at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Roles at University include: Romeo in Romeo & Juliet, Gus in The Dumb Waiter and Lamb in The Hothouse to name a few. Pietro also found his theatrical interests spread much wider than just performance when he directed The Popes Wedding by Edward Bond. His tutor said ‘It was the best piece of Bond he’d seen in years’ and subsequently gave him the highest mark of the year.

Upon leaving University in 2001 Pietro moved to London and decided to take some time out to have fun and be a twenty something. We saw him in 2004 in a performance of The love of a Good Man at the Union Theatre where he played The Prince of Wales which then got him the role of Khlestecov in The Government Inspector, also at the Union.

Since he has been with our agency Pietro has made quite a few shorts and recently finished shooting in Hamburg for his first feature film role as Robert in the horror flick Twisted Sisters. He enjoys new and interesting work as well as the classics We expect big things from Pietro.
